The City of Tacoma invites you to an open house celebrating the completion of the

Central Treatment Plant Upgrade and Expansion Project

Wednesday, October 7, at 12:30 p.m.

at the TAGRO Office and Central Treatment Plant Visitor Center

Parking
Parking will be available onsite in two locations:
  • Councilmembers, speakers, and anyone needing special assistance should park in the VIP and ADA parking area noted on the parking map.
  • All other attendees coming from offsite should park in the CTP Open House parking area noted on the parking map. There is a short walk from this parking area to the open house location (please see the walking route shown on the parking map). Shuttle vans will be available to transport attendees from the CTP Open House parking area between 12:30 and 12:45 for anyone preferring van transport.

Program
Please join us for appetizers (courtesy of MWH Constructors – Design Build Contractor for the project) in the Central Treatment Plant Visitor Center at 12:30 p.m. This is an opportunity to mingle and see the new Visitor Center interpretive displays. Remarks will begin at 1 p.m. and speakers will include:
  • City of Tacoma Deputy Mayor Julie Anderson
  • Dan Thompson, Ph.D., City of Tacoma Acting Assistant Public Works Director/Environmental Services
  • Joseph Adams, P.E., President of MWH Constructors
Following the speakers, tours of the main upgraded facilities will be provided by Central Treatment Plant Upgrade and Expansion Project team members from the City’s Wastewater Operations and Science and Engineering groups.
